Roles and permissions in Sametab

Sametab permission hierarchy is relatively straightforward. There are three levels of permissions:

Owners

The owner is the highest level of permission in Sametab. An owner has full access to the Sametab Admin. Owners can:

1. Write/Publish announcements
2. Change company settings (Company logo, name, add secondary email domains)
3. Add/Edit time zones
4. Add/Edit bookmarks
5. Add new members to the organization as owners, admins or members
6. Change permission of existing members
7. Create groups
8. Access to the billing system

Admins

Admins are essentially owners who can't access to the billing system on Sametab

1. Write/Publish announcements
2. Change company settings (Company logo, name, add secondary email domains)
3. Add/Edit time zones
4. Add/Edit bookmarks
5. Add new members to the organization as admins or members
6. Change permission of existing members
7. Create groups

 

Members

Members are team members an employees. Members can:

1. Visualize and mark-as-read announcements
2. React to public announcements with emoji reactions
3. Invite other team members as members only
